Upcycle to Make a Ring

Zakka Life Crafts has very simple project instructions for upcycling the plastic tab from a milk or juice container into a ring. The project is so simple even a young child can easily do this.

The only thing I'd add to her instructions is the possibility of cutting the round circle into different shapes for more variety. An adult should do the cutting and the edges of cut portion should be sanded down so they are not sharp.

Plastic Bags and Audio/Video Tape

Picture borrowed from
My Recycled Bags

I just stumbled across the My Recycled Bags blog. It's a great site that includes instructions for making your own plastic bag yarn (called plarn) and creating lots of useful items like water bottle totes, reusable lunch bags, purses, etc. There's even Barbie doll clothes crocheted from cassette tape!
The author of the blog is too modest to tell us who she is, but kudos to her for giving us such a great resource! Here's a pick of her latest Barbie fashion.

Ornaments From Roll On Deodorant

Stumbled across this one today. It's an ornament made by beading around the ball from a roll on deodorant bottle! It would work on a ping pong ball too.
